Yuiko Kubozuka

Leo Aoi A 17 going on 18-year-old boy whose sharp eyes resemble those of a beast. Despite his looks, he is cute and childish. He cares deeply for Yuiko as she is his first friend, and not to soon after, falls in love with her. When Leo sees blood, his animalistic alter-ego emerges. In these moments, Yuiko is the only person able to stop him without resorting to tranquilizer darts. Leo is clueless about many things because he has been living in remote locations most of his life. He is forced to move around because of threatening relatives
who want the large inheritance he is revealed to have later in the series. His father arrives to move him shortly after an attack by one of his relatives but, instead of running, he comes back to Yuiko. They share their first kiss.
Personal comments;
The drawings themselves are beautiful, it captures blood-dread moments in a terrifying yet beautiful and somehow funny way.

Although the blood and dread might seem awful, the manga is incredibly funny. We watch as poor Leo wanders into a troublesome world of High School, and love his relationship with Yuiko.
And also Yuiko appears funny, as the animals flee her all too loving attention.
One can't not love Leo Aoi, as he is a cute and honnest young lad, but one can also not fear his dreaded look once confronted (past this one can fall for him once again, as he is a boy with great courage; willing to strike a leopard for his girl).
I like the manga because of this innocent boy that nobody understands. I enjoy to read as Yuiko becomes his friend, and owns no fear of him. Which I believe is true love, but will Yuiko admit her affection?
